Continuation of the Freo story...

03 October 2007, Wednesday

Today was Perth day, we left very early to beat the rush hour traffic and enjoy Kings Park without people - hopefully. First we
walked a little bit around the main war memorial before having breakfast at the coffee shop, which was nice. After that we
walked most of the botanical garden of Kings Park before going on the City tour with the tram. Most of the pictures today are
from the wildflowers on display at Kings Park. Before we headed to Perth we asked around about what to see in the City and
the responds was - not much to see in Perth. Well after only having one day we agree with the statement. Kings Park is very
nice, but the city itself is not very exciting. The City tour was o.k. but nothing special. We had a break at the Bell Tower, but
did not go in. Overall the time we spend in Perth and Freo might have not been enough, but o.k. for us. At night Rodge
organised a BBQ with the Gang to send us off tomorrow. Thanks again to Rodge and Robyn for having us and for the
beautiful painting from Robyn - it will be hard to pay back the hospitality and help, however come and visit us in Spain if you
can and all the best for Robyn's recovery. Also thanks to the Gang for including us in their fun for the weekend. Below are
the pictures from today.
The last hanging was in 1964 - not that long ago. On the
top right - the correct phrase on one of the isolation
cells and on the right the entrance to the prison.

Below are the panoramics from today.
